It’s award season and the fabulous online clothing store Farfetch contacted me with details of a red carpet fashion competition. As an avid fashion lover and regular magazine reader, I couldn’t pass by this opportunity without giving it a go and so, this is my entry. I browsed their website for hours to pick out pieces for two completely different red carpet outfits and made them into these fashion sets below:
This is the first outfit and as you can see, I went for a classic red carpet look by choosing a statement dress and picking accessories from there onwards. The metallic foiled patterns on this dress really drew me to it and I felt a metallic clutch would complement them. I decided to stay pretty simple with the shoes and keep them a similar colour to the dress however, the thick black stitching on them adds some subtle extra detail. To tie in with the black stitching on the shoes, I chose these statement black earrings. To pull the entire look together, I chose a chunky gold bangle which adds just a slight edge to the look.
This second look is very different and is inspired by Jeremy Scott who is someone I’ve looked up to in fashion for a long time. I first picked one of his Moschino skirts and paired it with a black cropped top. I looked at the colours in the skirt and decided that I wanted some yellow shoes to match it and then stumbled upon these boots which I thought fitted my image perfectly. For the clutch, I decided a black one would be best, to match the crop top and then finished off this outfit with some round glasses.
I hope you like these outfits! Go check out the Farfetch store.
